Kahlilascope Stained Glass

Frames are repurposed from the Trinity Park home renovation project in Downtown Durham, NC. As the homes were renovated, window frames were replaced and I saw an opportunity to use something that would otherwise be discarded and turn it into art. Part of the charm of each frame is it's age that shows in chipped paint, scuffed wood, and old hardware still attached.

Frames are repurposed from the Trinity Park home restoration project in Downtown Durham, NC. I was also able to find some great antique mirror to use as elements of new stained glass designs. Mirrors were intended to be installed on screened porches or above fireplace mantles. As with the window frames, the old mirror's character is in it's age. Flaking and blemishes add to it's beauty and I have tried to use it in the best way that would show off it's charm. Imagine what these beautiful old mirrors have seen over the years...
