Bazan Rex Trees
This project was so much fun to make, lots going on, all referencing the Rex parade at Mardi Gras. Colored beads, Rex crown, fleur de lis, and a butterfly image taken from an original Rex invitation from the turn of the last century. So much fun!

Untitled Birch Trees
A beautiful home, and a wonderful client to work with. These birch trees came out just like we wanted them to, with little hints of snow in the branches and lots of blue in the border. Looks so beautiful from the outside when the lights are on.

Family
I know, this is a very simple design. The color blocks are large, very little detail, and as a friend pointed out, the women have pointed heads, but... the whole time I was designing it and creating it, I was thinking about my mother, my grandmother and me. Three Pisces all sortof growing up together, needing space, needing eachother, needing adventure while we are all three such introverts. Family is always with you.

Untitled
This was a funky collaboration for a woman in Chatham County. She teaches teachers how to teach, and gave me French children's books as inspiration for the color and shapes. I just love it, it's playful and whimsical.

Monet Love
Love blossomed at a Monet exhibit. I combined Monet's self portait with one of the ladies he painted many times and placed them in a Normandy beach scene with flowers. I'm proud of this one, you just can't see the french crackle glass that I used in the faces to simulate old cracked paint. Hope you like it.

Untitled - Jansen sun
Mr. and Mrs. Jansen were a wonderful couple to work with. Mrs. Jansen wanted this done for her birthday, but we were waiting for the yellow glass in the center of the sun which had to be ordered. She was very happy with the result, which makes me happy! : ) The design was based on the Monet panel I did for myself... as a Monet fan, I was hoping to capture some of the style of the Normandy beach scenes, so here's my loose interpretation. I think it came out well, what do you think?

Blue Truck
I have a secret love of old rusty trucks, particularly pre-1950's. I have always wanted one in old Ford blue... the problem is, if I ever had one, I would have to have someone else fix it up because I don't want to get all greasy! Kindof takes the cool factor out of it if you don't fix it up yourself... so, I did what I do best, I put it in glass instead. Came out great, I am really proud of it, and I don't have to change the oil! : )

Black Butterfly
Butterflies are such beautiful creatures, and this particular piece makes me smile. I used aventurine green glass which is very sparkly, and a strong orange Youghiougheny glass for the flower because I wanted this window to have something special. I am so happy with the way it came out that I'm planning a series of butterfly windows in frames like this one.
